Welcome to Blazin Britts located in Forest Lake, MN. This web site was setup to showcase our American Brittanys, which we hunt and compete with in American Field and AKC Field Trials throughout the United States. We belong to the St. Croix Valley Brittany Club and Minnesota Brittany Club, if you have any questions please contact us.

I have been involved with hunting dogs since I was 8 years old, growing up with labs that we trained for Duck and Pheasant hunting in Minnesota. In 1980 I bought my first pointing dog, a Brittany that I trained for Grouse and Pheasant hunting. Since then I’ve hunted nearly every game bird available with my dogs in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Nebraska, South Dakota and Iowa. Wanting to do more with my dogs, I attended my first field trial, placed 2nd in a Derby stake and the hook was set.

I am active in the local St. Croix Valley & Minnesota Brittany Clubs, having held various officer positions since 1993 and being the Field Trial Chairman since 1996. I am also active at the National level with the American Brittany Club, as the National Field Trial Secretary and Web Manager.

My wife Lori, our kids and I travel to field trials across the country where we campaign our Brittanys in All Age, Gun Dog and juvenile stakes. Our dogs have won and placed in hundreds of AKC and American Field stakes throughout the years, including the ABC Futurity, ABC National All Age Championships, ABC Pheasant Championship, ABC Quail Championship, and other Championships, Classics and hour stakes.

I have been honored to judge just about every pointing breed across the country, which include the Gordon Setter National Championship (2002 & 2004), German Wirehaired Pointer National Championship (2005), Trail City GSP Sharptail Championship (1998), West Coast Brittany All Age Classic (2000), Twin Cities GWP Open Shooting Dog Classic (2002), North Country Shooting Dog Championship (2006), Region 19 Amateur Shooting Dog Championship (2008), and various other regional American Field & AKC field trials.
